  • Responsibilities

    Redwood Credit Union is looking for an experienced Insurance Administrator who will provide exceptional customer service to all internal and external customers. 

     

    THE JOB (THE BIG STUFF):

    • Calls members referred to the insurance agency by branch, Member Service Center or other referrals.
    • Make and receive calls from customers to complete worksheets to facilitate insurance quotes and product claims.
    • Works with credit life and disability, payment protection, GAP & MBP insurance carriers to process claims.
    • Works with Insurance Account Manager to process documents for insurance sales and renewals.
    • Works with Members to deliver quotes, bind coverage and service policies as requested.

    Required Skills

    WHAT'S NEEDED IN THE ROLE:

    • Knowledge of financial and insurance products and services.
    • Ability to effectively work on the telephone to obtain insurance information.
    • Ability to collect the documents necessary to complete the insurance transaction.
    • Ability to coordinate a variety of activities simultaneously and prioritize work.
    • Ability to analyze situations and recommend workable solutions for customers.
    • Ability to manage time efficiently and effectively.

    Required Experience

    ADDITIONALLY, THE IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS:

    • Combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma and one year of clerical and customer contact experience with a credit union, bank or Insurance Agency.
    • Preferred Commercial Lines Insurance experience/Commercial CSR
    • Must have a valid California Driver’s License.
    • Must have an active Property & Casualty Insurance License; an active Life or Life/Health Insurance License a plus.
