  • Responsibilities

    The Finance Reporting Intermediate Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for the generation, tracking and submission of financial reports in coordination with the Finance Team. The overall objective of this role is to accurately prepare and report business/financial transactions, reports and statements in accordance with local regulatory guidelines.

    • The main objective of this position is the preparation of global internal and external U.S. Regulatory Reports and managements of the System Operations and End-User-Computing products for Citigroup.
    • Prepare, review, and submit regulatory reports including FFIEC009 (Country Exposure Report), FR2436 and FR 2510; be responsible for preparation and  analysis of regulatory reports for various Citi legal entities and manage, standardization, and improvement of report filings.
    • Liaise with corporate regulatory and financial reporting entities, treasury, finance, and other affiliate teams to represent the needs of the Regulatory Reporting function; coordinate and provide support and training to other areas of the business globally to ensure completeness and accuracy of reporting and provide support to management in various financial and ad hoc projects.

    Responsibilities:

    • Monthly, quarterly and annual preparation of regulatory reports/schedules; Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with multiple functions (Corporate Reporting, Finance, Risk, Operations Technology).
    • Participate on committees and working-groups with Finance, Risk, Risk Architecture, Corporate Reporting and CSS FRSS.  Escalate issues and interface with operations units ensuring appropriate corrective actions are taken.
    • Perform key controls, with proper documentation, and facilitate MCA testing; identify opportunity to optimize processes.
    • Responsible for the reconciliation among different reports.
    • Development of centralized and standardized solutions for various Regulatory reports, as well as maintaining the technical environment in which the reports are produced
    • Effectively perform UAT testing and in depth data analysis for onboarding of new reporting point for various regulatory schedules
    • Ability to interpret different regulatory reports and determine applicable banking products for each schedule
  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of related experience required
    • 2+ years of  related accounting/finance work experience.
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills required
    • Excellent analytical background and skill set to understand Basel processes, including system data flows
    • Able to analyse large volumes of data from different sources
    • Self-motivated with ability to make decisions and maintain a controlled environment
    • Willingness to work flexible hours or on an Alternative Work Space (AWS) environment
    • Ability to multi-task, be proactive and goal-oriented
    • Strong interpersonal/communication skills (oral and written) and confidence to work with different levels of management.

    Preferred but not required:

    • Masters in Accounting or Economics; Certified Public Accountant or International Equivalent; Certified Financial Analyst.
    • Previous experience with Lean Methodology / Six Sigma.
    • Previous experience with SQL and/or SAS preferred.
    • Previous exposure to Basel or Country Risk.
    • Previous banking products experience or exposure.
    • Previous Exposure to global processes and teamwork across various locations and cultures.
