    Financial E-Commerce Analyst - (KG12203) Job Requisition ID: KG12203 Job Title: Financial E-Commerce Analyst Job Type: Full-Time Location: Philadelphia, PA Post Date: 12/20/2018 Job Description: Key Responsibilities: The E-Commerce Analyst is the point role for all incoming and outgoing electronic data files from/to The Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC) to ensure accuracy and performance; including the Applications and Premium (APP), Financial Activity Reporting (FAR), Positions and Valuations (POV), and Commissions (COMM) files. Daily Data Transfers: Ensure transfer of APP files, which transmit annuity application and initial premium information from distributors. Ensure transfer of FAR files to provide distributors with daily individual annuity financial transaction information. Ensure transfer of POV files to provide distributors key contract information, including current values and parties to the contract. Ensure transfer of COMM file which automates the settlement of commissions with the distributors. Analysis & Review: Responsible for all data files incoming and outgoing from/to outside vendors on a daily basis. Reconciliation of data to ensure accuracy of files. Monitor and maintain all reports to identify any data discrepancies in the files. Verification of commission calculations and payments based on various commission schedules. Troubleshooting: Promptly identify any problems with data file transfers. Execute simple to moderately complex data fixes to resolve any issues that cause data file transfers to reject. Work with IT technical staff when necessary to ensure performance of data transfers. Actively seek formal and informal learning opportunities. Informing/Relationships: Communicate on an ongoing basis with all outside vendors to ensure they have all necessary data elements. Participate in the process of complying with Data File Enhancements as mandated by the DTCC. Provide any necessary information and data as required for audit reviews. Recommend process improvements and lead implementation of changes. Reporting: Prepare reports and financial analysis for management upon request. Reconciliation of suspense accounts related to the transfer of all data files. Resolve any issues identified in suspense reconciliation with annuity administration and financial accounting departments. Education: Bachelors Degree (BS/BA) in Finance or Accounting 2+ years of related experience Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Related Experience: Strong general knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Demonstrated ability to communicate across various levels of the organization and to apply troubleshooting and problem solving skills. Working knowledge of validation and reconciliation processes.
