    BlackRock's Reporting and Distribution Services team (RDS) is accountable for ensuring that BlackRock meets our clients need for data, including the provision of market leading reporting solutions and effective client service. As a part of the RDS Client Reporting team you will formulate the successful delivery of critical reporting and distribution functions daily and partner with colleagues to craft and advance a globally aligned vision and business model. You will also handle the following:

    • Analyze client requirements and deliver periodic client reports to demanding target dates

    • Analyzing trends in data requests to constantly improve service and client reports

    • Understanding the flow of client, market and fund information across BlackRock and external data providers

    • Leading and ensuring timely and accurate distribution of all deliverables; actively communicating potential delays to clients

    • Constantly evaluating systems, processes and procedures for inefficiencies and making recommendations for improvement

    • Use BlackRock's technology to provide efficient and scalable solutions, as well as regular application of Excel to customized solutions

    • Supporting various projects, including automation/standardization efforts and the evolution of standard reporting

    • Understanding the risk environment within the department – promoting risk awareness, assessment and control

    To ensure success, you will have the following qualifications:

    • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, particularly VBA is desirable

    • Keen interest in investment products with a preference of 1-3 years (Analyst) / 3+years (Associate) of financial services experience, communications, or data visualization

    • Extraordinary client service skills, maturity, and autonomy in dealing directly with clientele

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Strong work ethic and willingness to give beyond the scope of one’s role to achieve team and firm objectives

    • Excellent attention to detail, extremely accurate and well organize

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize information, summarize issues and think creatively

    • Sharp control/risk mitigation mentality with ability to know when to raise issues

    Lastly, your confirmed ability to operate under tight deadlines and prioritize work, coupled with your sound judgement to appropriately document conclusions will provide continued success. Using your proficiency in Microsoft Office, aptitude for learning new applications and your willingness to ask questions (while learning independently) will get you noticed.

    Additional Responsibilities for Associate:

    • Plan and assist in leading a team responsible for delivering to complex client reporting, ensuring timely and accurate distribution of all deliverables

    • Partner with global peers to implement a consistent, scalable and controllable operational platform

    • Demonstrate risk awareness and focus on delivering a robust operational control framework focused on client deliverables including review and validation of monthly metrics

    • Managing talent and mapping out career paths for personnel and ensuring diverse hiring and succession planning

    Additional Qualifications for Associate:

    • Relevant work experience leading a team, preferably within an operational role

    • Strong analytical skills with an ability to identify problems and develop solutions

    • Risk orientated mentality ensuring governance and key controls are in place and evidenced

    • Experience managing people and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and engage junior talent; prior experience building or re-vitalizing a team from the ground up is a plus
