Salem Media Group offers an exceptional opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in our beautiful offices in Camarillo, CA. This Payroll Specialist will be part of our Accounting and Finance Team and process bi-weekly and commissioned multi-state payroll, data entry for new hires, terminations, or other changes in employee status such as rate changes, transfers.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with month end close
• Provide excellent internal and external customer service and guidance
• Accurately maintain payroll database ensuring compliance with federal and state laws
• Perform data entry to process new hires, terminations, or other changes in employee status such as rate changes, transfers, and leave of absence or comparable
• Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
• Process bi-weekly and commissioned payroll for assigned locations
• Special projects as assigned

Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience in a public company
• Must have experience processing bi-weekly and commission based payroll
• Working knowledge of multi-state and local tax issues
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Office
• High level of analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail
• Must be extremely organized with a strong work ethic
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to work well with others

Compensation is between $22.00 per hour to $26.00 per hour.
