Our Global Liquidity and Cash Management (GLCM) Sales Associate (SA) role is a client facing sales support position in HSBC’s Global Liquidity and Cash Management (GLCM) sales group. This is an entry level role for highly motivated individuals who are looking to gain direct client exposure and build a foundation to develop the necessary skills and knowledge required to manage a sales portfolio. The focus of the SA role is to support the Sales Manager in managing a client portfolio in order to defend existing and generate new income for the business.

GLCM is one of HSBC's global product lines. In essence GLCM helps clients, mainly treasurers, move their cash, have visibility and access to their cash, and invest their cash. On a typical day your activities could include the following:
Building a strong understanding of the U.S. GLCM proposition and key focus for the fiscal year.
Participating in sector/portfolio planning and client monitoring/contact.
Maintaining close liaison with key stakeholders so as to provide input into the strategic direction of the business, the functionality and launch of new products and services.
Actively contributing to the GLCM pipeline and keeping it accurate and up-to-date
Remain up-to-date with product knowledge through attendance at presentations, training, reviewing intranet/internet etc.
Keep abreast of external factors influencing international business e.g. economic, cultural, geographical, procedural and regulatory requirements.
Execute a robust sales plan to target key customers including effective closure of pipeline deals to capture revenue
Requirements
Employment eligibility to work with HSBC in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.
Basic knowledge of local and regional cash management and clearing services, products and techniques and willingness to develop skillset
Ability to understand a customer’s business and the fundamentals of running a business
Good level of business acumen and commercial awareness, including economic, cultural, procedural and regulatory issues
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Strong Microsoft Office Skills- focus on PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint, Outlook
