Securities Lending Operations is a dynamic department that works with partners across the HSBC Global Banking and Markets business to deliver Securities Lending solutions to clients.
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Securities Lending Operations, this role is in a newly formed Post Trade team situated in the US, providing operational support for the HSBC Agency Securities Lending Trading desk. Acting as point of contact for both pre and post-settlement enquiries the Post Trade Analyst will have extensive interaction with the Securities Lending trading desks globally, including the Trading team based in the US and will be part of the wider Securities Lending Operations functions already in place the UK, Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur. The establishment of this new team in the US creates a follow the sun operational model, with the US team taking over the global loan book from London at the end of the UK business day and then handing over to Hong Kong at the end of the US day. The role holder and his Line Manager are responsible for the securities lending trade lifecycle from point of execution, using internal and proprietary front and back office systems overseeing the timely and efficient delivery of securities on behalf of our clients. The HSBC Agency Securities Lending business has access to a significant global asset pool from which it generates a valuable revenue stream for its clients.

The Post Trade Analyst will be responsible for ensuring that HSBC and our clients are risk protected by remaining fully collateralised in line with HSBC and client stipulated mandates and by overseeing the timely settlement of new lending positions, their recall when sold and subsequent return. A large proportion of duties will centre around the management of exposure and associated collateral requirements, including cash collateral and reinvestment and non-cash collateral, principally through Tri Party Collateral service providers. Additionally, the management of all securities lending transactions including recalls to cover client sales and mitigation of buy-in’s will be a principal responsibility and therefore prior experience and demonstrable competencies across the post trade disciplines, particularly in collateral and trade management is required.
The role holder must be able to coordinate comfortably with multiple desks and people and be able to quickly learn new systems and processes. The ability to manage departmental projects is also preferred.

For this role, HSBC targets a fixed pay range between $87,200.00 and $130,700.00.
The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.
