POSITION SUMMARY: The Bankruptcy Specialist will refer and monitor bankruptcy loans daily and ensure timelines are completed within internal guidelines

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with the ability to prioritize and maintain a large volume of multi-faceted work. • Review and update LPS and Sagent (Fiserv) with bankruptcy information
• Monitor bankruptcy actions through Process Management and default reports
• Communicate with attorneys, trustees, taxing authorities and other third parties to ensure  timely resolution on all cases
• Timely response to all incoming correspondence regarding assigned loans
• Handles inquiries by responding to emails, intercoms, handling appropriate document execution escalation, title issue resolution and other related tasks
• Work internal LPS and Sagent (Fiserv)  tracking queues and remove files from bankruptcy as necessary
• Participate in department progress in reducing timeline delays
• Take inbound calls and make outbound calls from/to borrowers, internal departments, bankruptcy firms, Trustee offices and other sources as required.
• Review and validate Escrow Analysis and Bankruptcy billing statements prior to mailing.
• Any other duties as required by Management.
• This is not a work from home opportunity.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

Associates degree or higher from a College or university and/or  up to a 2 years default mortgage related experience and/or training; or 1 year of Bankruptcy experience preferred

COMPUTER SKILLS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft office suite which includes but isn't limited to Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Advanced Excel skills preferred
