    REMOTE - PART-TIME POSITIONS ABOUT US:

    POSITION SUMMARY: The Loan Review Analyst is responsible for performing residential mortgage loan reviews on Selene NDA client portfolios in accordance with client specific requirements. The Loan Review Analyst documents requirements and identifies issues with respect to data integrity, credit, compliance, valuation and fraud risk and is responsible for determining appropriate Credit Risk Grading (CRG) of the loans.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

    • Review employment documentation and re-calculate income documentation for completeness and accuracy per guideline requirements

    • Verify occupancy status of the borrower aligns with transaction requirements

    • Analyze the HUD-1 Settlement Statement to confirm the transaction meets all selling guide requirements

    • Review Legal documents to confirm loan closed per required guidelines

    • Review and recalculate asset documentation per guideline requirements

    • Review title commitments and policies

    • Verify proper licensing of parties to loans being reviewed

    • Review and analyze borrower's mortgage applications, credit reports and related documents.

    • Review and analyze real estate purchase contracts

    • Review state and federal disclosures for compliance

    • Review property valuation documentation to determine value

    • Review property valuation documentation to determine value

    • Analyze loan servicing collection comments and payment histories to determine appropriate disposition

    • Analyze individual loan files and determine compliance with applicable lender guidelines

    • Determine appropriate risk rating

    • Ability to effectively communicate credit review process and conclusions in written and verbal formats with management

    • Evaluate if loans are made within the due diligence clients policy and in compliance with governing laws and regulations.

    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.     • Minimum 4 years underwriting experience with exposure to both manual and automated underwriting environments; preferably in a due diligence environment

    • Must have strong knowledge of Jumbo, Non-QM and/or GSE guidelines

    • Understanding of RESPA compliance

    • Experience with RPL/NPL product a plus

    • Familiarity with capital markets and credit rating agency requirements a plus

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Excellent time management skills with an emphasis on quality

    • In depth knowledge and understanding of transaction components that indicate a potential for fraud

    • Must be self-motivated, creative and able to work in a team environment while thinking independently and sharing knowledge and ideas

    • Must be able to multi task between multiple analytical projects

    • Ability to work well under pressure, handle competing priorities and meet deadlines.

    • A high level of confidentiality to protect privacy rights.
