SEMAPHORE INSURANCE SOLUTIONS is seeking a Personal Lines Insurance Agent to manage new and renewal business. Our ideal candidate is required to have strong communication skills to manage direct contact with clients and underwriters. Semaphore offers our clients multiple carrier options, competitive pricing, strong relationships, and outstanding customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Analyze current coverage, identify needs, and advise proper coverage.

· Work to find the best options for our clients.

· Underwrite and market new referrals and renewal business.

· Complete applications, supplemental forms, certificates, and update mortgagees.

· Review policies, endorsements, and applications for accuracy in rating, coverage, and signatures.

· Document discrepancies/errors and request corrections from insurance carrier.

· Respond to client’s questions and any issues that arise.

· Generate referrals through existing customers.

· Service accounts in a manner to eliminate E&O exposures.

· Assume other job responsibilities as assigned.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge in personal lines: auto, home, fire dwelling, PAFs, umbrella, flood earthquake.

· Ability to communicate effectively verbally, via text, and email.

· Ability to understand our customer’s needs, educate when necessary on policy types, identify gaps in coverage and suggest appropriate policies.

· Set priorities and manage workflow to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate processing of all responsibilities,

· Proficient use of Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, agency management software system and office equipment.

Requirements:

· Associate degree

· 4 years of Personal Insurance sales experience.

· Current and Valid California P&C Insurance License, Life Insurance experience is a plus.
