    The Global Advertising and Brand Management (GABM) team is responsible for creating marketplace demand and driving commerce for American Express products and services through differentiated and innovative branding, marketing, and experiences. We have an ambitious goal: to be the most admired brand in the Fortune 500 and we aim to deliver on that by doing work that is both creative and effective. The OnBrand team sits within GABM. We are American Express’ In-House Creative agency. Our ambition is to develop forward-thinking ideas and work across channels, end-to-end experiences in digital and beyond while building inspiring brand creative and assets to drive consideration for target audiences. We are seeking a Senior Account Manager, Consumer Acquisition, OnBrand.

    The Senior Account Manager, Consumer Acquisition, OnBrand will report to the Account Director and lead integrated, end-to-end marketing campaigns across paid media, email, and direct channels. This role oversees campaigns from intake and strategic alignment through creative development, execution, production, launch, and post-launch analysis, with an expanded focus on mid-funnel acquisition and performance-driven creative optimization.

    As a Senior Account Manager, you will manage strategy and execution in support of the growing Consumer business for OnBrand. Acting as a trusted extension of internal marketing teams, you will translate business objectives and brand vision into clear, actionable creative briefs and high-performing creative solutions. You will partner closely with OnBrand creatives, producers, strategists, and project managers, as well as Amex marketing stakeholders and external Integrated Agency teams, to ensure seamless execution and impactful results.

    The ideal candidate brings a strong background in account management and performance marketing, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding client service. You are a proactive, collaborative leader with experience managing teams across a high volume of high-visibility initiatives. You also possess a deep understanding of paid media channels and best practices, including the management of large volumes of creative assets across platforms and are comfortable managing complexity in fast paced environments. You bring a strong performance mindset with the ability to connect media analytics and channel insights to creative intent, informing briefing, creative development and optimization by placement and channel. You are experienced leading pre-production for large scale content initiatives, partnering closely with marketers, producers and creative teams on end-to-end execution.

    Day to day responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    Client Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain strong client relationships, fostering trust and effectively managing day-to-day requests in partnership with internal teams
    • Cultivate new and existing relationships to drive business growth where appropriate
    • Serve as the primary OnBrand point of contact for assigned Marketers and Product Managers within designated business unit portfolios
    • Develop a deep understanding of client objectives, goals, and target audiences and acquisition priorities to inform effective marketing and creative strategies

    Digital Strategy Development:

    • Partner with creative strategy, UX/UI, and cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive digital marketing strategies aligned to business objectives
    • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and audience insights to inform campaign planning and ongoing optimization
    • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and measurement frameworks to assess campaign success
    • Identify mid-funnel acquisition opportunities including and video-led content to enhance creative effectiveness and conversion of NAA
    • Connect media performance and analytics with creative strategy and development to optimize creative execution by channel and placement

    Campaign Management:

    • Collaborate with project management and creative teams to oversee the development and execution of digital content, including ad copy, visuals, landing pages, and user experiences
    • Partner with analytics and insights teams to lead campaign planning, execution, optimization, and performance evaluation across channels such as display, email, social, and landing pages
    • Apply a strong understanding of the media ecosystem, platform specifications, and best practices while managing high volumes of assets

    Team Collaboration:

    • Work closely with internal and external partners-including creative, media planning, and analytics-to ensure seamless campaign execution and post-campaign analysis focused on performance optimization and ROI
    • Provide guidance and support to direct reports and project management teams to ensure timelines, quality, and deliverables are met
    • Foster a positive, collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and professional growth

    Industry Expertise:

    • Stay current on emerging marketing trends, technologies, and best practices
    • Share insights and thought leadership with clients and internal teams, advising on new opportunities and innovative strategies

    Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of experience in account management at a leading creative, design, or strategy agency, or within an in-house brand environment
    • Proven experience leading client relationships and managing direct reports
    • Demonstrated ability to build and nurture strong partnerships
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
    • Solid understanding of design and digital marketing across social, advertising, email, and content marketing
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
    • Experience briefing, creating, and producing assets for multichannel campaigns
    • Familiarity with comScore, CRM platforms, and analytics or competitive intelligence tools
    • Experience working with project management tools such as Workfront

    Salary Range: $89,250.00 to $150,250.00 annually + bonus + benefits
