    The Senior Architecture Governance Analyst position is responsible for definition, implementation, and oversight of the North America (NAM) Engineering & Architecture (E&A) Governance process and tools for Personal Banking & Wealth management (PBWM) technology organization as they perform their duties in alignment with the Citi Architecture and System Development Lifecycle standards and procedures. Excellent communication skills are required to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required to guide, influence, and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. The overall objective of this role is to create sustainable governance processes and contribute to continuous improvement in the execution of the governance and architect capabilities of the NAM Engineering and Architecture Practice. RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Guide a team of governance analysts providing oversight of critical Citi application and technology inventories, sector Cloud Architecture Review process, and technical solution architecture oversight for new technology projects as part of the SDLC
    • Occasionally this role will be required to perform team management responsibilities include work allocation, individual team member mentoring and training, performance evaluation, compensation, staffing and other duties as assigned
    • Organizing and executing the business of the Architecture Review Board (ARB) including managing the incoming requests for review topics, executing the ARB as facilitator and scribe, and following up on outcomes and decisions or assigned action items resulting from ARB reviews
    • Provide technical leadership and expertise to process re-engineering activities in support of the transition to Architecture Permits, Architecture Review Boards, and Delegated Action Groups. This includes creation of required design artifact templates, establishing the standards and practices to execute the architecture permit review process in the Architecture Review Board, guidelines and tracking mechanisms for Delegated Action Groups, and developing new training for architects on artifact and process changes
    • Identifying opportunities for improvement in key processes, driving strategic initiatives and implementing enhancements, managing technical projects including analysis and project tracking
    • Oversee the creation and maintenance of process documentation, training materials, and internal communications to architects and development teams regarding architecture engagement in book of work projects and general support of architecture responsibilities per Citi architecture standards and procedures
    • Development, implementation, and management of reporting structures and metrics used for exception tracking, management oversight, process effectiveness & performance
    • Persuades and influences others through comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills
    • Engagement with management at all levels in discussions regarding compliance and control as subject matter experts in critical compliance areas affecting the organization
    • Maintaining entitlement review processes and execution, systems oversight, documentation management and reporting for architecture related tools
    • Identifying operational issues, investigating for root cause, identify and develop improvement proposals, and drive implementation and or remediation
    • Setting personal and project goals which add value to the Architecture Governance function; taking accountability for assigned projects
    • Acting as an interdepartmental resource to explain or teach governance and risk management concepts, as needed, to facilitate better oversight practices and control
    • Provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of information in complicated, unique, and dynamic situations, drawing on diverse range of internal and external sources
    • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

    QUALIFICATIONS: MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

    • 10+ years of relevant experience in information technology roles within financial services or a related industry
    • Demonstrated leadership
    • Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
    • Proven interpersonal skills with ability to partner and influence across organizational lines
    • Self-directed, motivated, and managed; ability to deal with imperfect information, decision and drive to successful conclusions
    • Comfortable working in fast paced environment and ability to handle constant pressure, juggle multiple demands
    • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and forming logical actions as result

    PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

    • Significant expertise in implementing processes to manage policy adherence
    • Awareness and understanding of current and emerging technologies including SaaS/PaaS/IaaS, micro-services, RESTful API's, DevOps/CI/CD, machine learning and robotic process automation
    • Experience performing Risk Management or Governance support for technical organizations

    • Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
