    WHAT YOU GET TO DO:

    • Monitor customer portfolio and ensure adherence to the credit policy and procedures

    • Design and implement comprehensive analysis as part of the credit review process, including evaluation of portfolio risk and impact from strategy changes

    • Work with cross-functional team to identify credit risk improvement opportunities and leverage data and models to build strategy to deliver incremental business value

    • Analyze existing strategies and models, and build new models/rules

    • Build report to track funnel conversion and identify insights from performance metric; summarize and present findings and recommendation to senior leadership

    • Perform internal independent model validations, pre model deployment and post production validations. Manage stakeholder's reports and data for model quality and performance and evaluate models across the organization to meet both regulatory and business needs

    • Identify, analyze and quantify any potential model risk and limitation, including sensitivity to model assumptions, model calibration, stability using statistical techniques (AUC, KS, PSI, back-testing, scenario analysis, etc.)

    • Prepare high quality validation reports (on-going monitoring, quarterly/annual reports, etc.). Document the findings of analysis and validation results. Present results and recommendations for changes, continued usage or rejection of models.

    • Understand the business contexts of model usage, and contribute to the development of model risk management policies and procedures. Help maintain model validation and governance policies, standards and procedures.

    WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM:

    • BA/BS degree with specialization in business, finance, or economics, statistics, computer science. (Masters degree preferred).

    • 1+ years of experience as Credit Risk Analyst/Data Analyst

    • 1-3 years of experience in analyzing data using database query language (e.g. SQL, etc) and data processing and analysis tools such as R/Python etc and familiarity with Github

    • 1+ year of experience with using analytical and data science skills including knowledge of Statistical concepts like Hypothesis testing, Confidence Interval, etc and Machine Learning techniques such as XGBoost, Random Forest, Linear Regression

    • Basic familiarity with shell scripting and AWS EC2 services.

    • Good interpersonal, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

    • Aptitude and strong desire to learn about business processes, and applying data science techniques and analysis in improving key metrics and solve business problems

    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

    REPORTS TO: SENIOR MANAGER, CREDIT

    JOB LEVEL: SENIOR ASSOCIATE

    The minimum salary for this role is $90,000 . The total compensation package includes eligibility for performance-based bonuses as well as a 1-time equity grant based on level. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be at the company's sole discretion, and determined by a myriad of factors including, but not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, and other relevant business considerations.
