    OVERVIEW

    As a Senior Associate, Marketing Analyst, you will join the Customer Engagement department and be part of a collaborative cross-functional Product Marketing team in support of our digital products. This team is passionate about designing, creating & marketing digital products, platforms and features which accelerate innovation & offer experiences that empower our customers to live healthy financial lives. In partnership with your team members, you will be responsible for driving adoption of our mobile app, online banking platform, credit score tool and accompanying digital features while driving brand advocacy. You’ll be our team expert on marketing test design and analysis and bring our campaigns, marketing strategies and relationships with customers to the next level. 

    WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

    • Customer-obsessed: Loves diving deep into data to understand customer behaviour and motivations. 

    • Marketing analytics practitioner & problem solver: Uses data and storytelling to influence decisions and deliver actionable recommendations that solve current customer engagement & product marketing opportunities. Are comfortable writing basic code in languages like SQL or Python.

    • Strategic partner: Helps shape marketing strategy and initiatives, ensures successful measurement of campaigns by aligning on metrics, reporting on ROI, and measuring results.

    • Results oriented: Focuses on driving impact in both the short and long term, and is able to drive and execute an agenda end-to-end from conception through to in-market delivery within an uncertain and fluid environment.

    • Team player: Helps us achieve more than the sum of our parts by collaborating effectively with others and encouraging an inclusive culture with diverse teammates.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Analyze credit data to create a deep understanding of customer behaviour associated with the marketing of our digital platforms and products, evaluate existing efforts and uncover opportunities to optimize our marketing & communications

    • Own Credit Decisions, partnering with credit governance team and other stakeholders to ensure governance approval for credit intent

    • Analyze customer behaviour data to identify opportunities and optimal segments to optimize marketing tests and strategies

    • Partner with a cross-functional team to develop tests that will inform the optimal way to market our products to current and future customers, driving advocacy and sustained engagement

    • Size opportunities and forecast expected impacts of campaigns and tests, including working with Finance to manage budgeting 

    • Build the segmentation strategy for targeted campaigns

    • Deploy campaigns using Capital One-owned execution platforms, with a focus on digital channels (email,SMS,app)

    • Define and monitor success metrics

    • Develop reports, data visualizations, dashboards, insights and recommendations for our campaigns and help share the story with key stakeholders

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • At least 2 years of experience in a related role. 

    • A bachelor’s degree or higher

    • Experience launching & leading analysis for cross-channel marketing campaigns

    • Proficient in basic coding and/or data visualization (e.g. SQL, Python, Tableau, QuickSight)

    • Experience working with relational databases, programming in SQL, and version control systems like GitHub considered an asset
