The U.S. Consumer Services Team is responsible for our suite of consumer products, services, and experiences in the U.S., including our premium, cobrand, cash back, and lending portfolios, Membership Rewards, Global Travel & Lifestyle Services, the Centurion Lounge network, our Global Dining and Resy businesses, U.S. Consumer Banking, and best-in-class marketing programs across customer, prospect, and partner channels. The U.S. Consumer Marketing team (USCM) is part of the US Consumer Services Group and is responsible for making membership essential by creating and delivering world class marketing for our differentiated products and services that drives demand and inspires engaged card members across the customer lifecycle. The US Consumer Marketing Enablement Team (MET) delivers omni-channel marketing campaigns as part of our broader US Consumer business objective to scale acquisition, increase customer engagement, and accelerate revenue momentum.
The Sr. Manager of Marketing Talent Strategy and Development will report to the Director of US Consumer Marketing Enablement Operations and Strategy. This individual will be responsible for the recruiting, onboarding, engagement, and pipeline development of a large team comprised of agency contractors and full-time colleagues who implement marketing campaigns for the US Consumer Marketing organization. The role will create and lead a formal talent development program, plan and execute a cohesive onboarding curriculum, and partner closely with cross-functional teams like Prospect, Partner Customer Growth Marketing (PPCG), Loyalty Marketing, Strategy & Go-to-Market, Recruitment, Colleague Engagement Group, among others. A successful Sr Manager excels in building strong partnerships and is passionate about inclusion, diversity, and team development.
Key Responsibilities:
**Hiring: ** Manage relationships with external staffing agencies supporting 75+ marketing contractors. Oversee budget, headcount reporting, interview and onboarding coordination, and end to end recruiting experience; Identify new strategies to streamline end to end hiring process.
Onboarding: Develop onboarding curriculum to acclimate new hires to Marketing Enablement at American Express, including targeted trainings, assets or communications which drive faster onboarding & campaign delivery across marketing channels.
Talent Development: Design and implement programs to improve skill-based competencies, performance reviews, employee engagement, and career growth management.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience with and passion for cross-team leadership and establishing a team culture committed to personal development, team engagement and skill maturity
Project and team management expertise, balancing short and long-term needs to drive projects to completion across many teams, functions and levels
Impressive planning and organization with ability to lead highly interdependent, complex initiatives and keep various workstreams on track
Excellent collaborator with outstanding verbal and written skills to independently influence across and upwards
Bachelor's Degree Required

Salary Range: $103,750.00 to $174,750.00 annually + bonus + benefits
