    JOB DESCRIPTION

    American Express entered the travel agency business in 1915 and today is one of the world’s largest luxury travel and lifestyle service networks. Travel & Lifestyle Services (TLS) is a critical component of the value proposition of the American Express premium card products, focused on delivering Travel and Lifestyle benefits which allow American Express to create differentiation and loyalty with premium CMs.

    This role sits within the TLS Global Customer Experience (GCX) organization on the Strategic Initiatives team. This Senior Manager will be a critical leader and partner responsible for GCX OpEx Planning & Reporting, Vendor Management and Travel Accreditation functions.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Own and manage GCX OpEx tracking (in partnership with Finance) identifying and explaining variances to plan, including software capitalization and accruals
    • Lead monthly LT OpEx reporting meetings, presenting financial reviews, adjustments, and key risks & opportunities
    • Manage annual & 3-year OpEx planning exercise
    • Oversee the end-to-end GCX vendor management process, including contracts, Statements of Work (SOWs), purchase orders and invoicing
    • Manage contractor onboarding and provide ongoing support to ensure a seamless experience
    • Oversee IATA and travel accreditation processes, including IATA card management across all TLS markets
    • Lead, develop, and support a team of 3, driving performance and accountability.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Strong financial acumen with 5+ years of experience in a finance-related role
    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and navigate multiple disciplines
    • Results-oriented problem solver with a focus on driving business outcomes
    • Proven ability to navigate challenges, remove roadblocks, and maintain delivery momentum
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences
    • Comfortable engaging in executive-level discussions and presentations
    • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and partner effectively
    • Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the United States is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.
    • Knowledge of TLS organization, systems, and capabilities preferred
