    As part of the Global Merchant & Network Services group (GMNS), the Network & Acquirer Solutions (NAS) team is at the core of American Express, uniquely positioned to support every business unit and customer across the Enterprise. The American Express Network enables over $1.6 trillion in annual spend, serving our Issuers and Acquirers in more than 170 markets worldwide. We are driving a strategic, multi-year Enterprise Payments program to bring all payments together into a center of excellence to drive operational excellence for payment execution, enable innovative payment products, services, and capabilities to be built effectively and efficiently, support our BU strategies more closely, and deliver on our customers’ evolving payment needs.

    About the Role

    The NAS organization has been building a program to drive more efficiency and productivity to how we develop, deliver and deploy products and capabilities. This role is responsible for leading the change management, communications, and engagement strategies that enable successful adoption of NAS’s end-to-end product governance and lifecycle program. The Senior Manager will drive organizational readiness, foster cross-functional alignment, and ensure that change is understood, embraced, and sustained.

    The ideal candidate brings strategic change leadership expertise, excels at storytelling and influencing across levels, and is passionate about helping teams thrive through change. You will be central to enabling NAS to scale its product governance efforts and embed consistent, efficient, and effective practices across the lifecycle.

    How will you make an impact in this role?

    • Design and execute structured change management strategies that drive understanding, alignment, and behavioral adoption across teams participating in NAS product lifecycle efforts
    • Develop and deliver a comprehensive communications and engagement plan that builds awareness, strengthens participation, and reinforces the value of governance processes
    • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders-including Product, Technology, and Control Management-to ensure readiness and alignment for changes impacting processes, tools, and team responsibilities
    • Create and manage toolkits, learning resources, and enablement campaigns that support teams in navigating change
    • Establish feedback loops and measurement approaches to assess change adoption, identify resistance, and adapt strategies in real time
    • Serve as a strategic advisor to NAS leaders, helping them champion change and sustain momentum across the organization

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • 5-8 years of experience in change management, internal communications, product operations or a related field
    • Strong understanding of change frameworks, behavior adoption strategies, and stakeholder engagement techniques
    • Strong storytelling, writing and presentation skills with experience tailoring content to different stakeholder groups
    • Proven experience leading change initiatives, ideally in product, technology or operations environments
    • Experience developing and managing learning or enablement programs is a plus
    • Strong collaboration and influencing skills across levels, especially with senior stakeholders
    • High comfort with ambiguity, ability to translate complex topics into simple, actionable messages
    • • Understanding of product management and development processes would be a bonus

    Salary Range: $90,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
