Senior Quantitative Analyst - Direct Market Modeling
This role will work with the quantitative analysis and forecasting team to provide analytical support for leadership decision making.
What is a day in the life at Flagship as a Senior Quantitative Analyst?
Develop direct marketing response, customer acquisition, and retention models; work with the risk and pricing models to support company’s decision making on direct marketing
Develop customer clustering and segmentation algorithms for direct marketing
Develop campaign strategies and design experiments
Develop and optimize digital channels; work with the digital team to improve CPA/CTR as well as site-side reporting
Identify new direct marketing channels
Utilize data mining and machine learning techniques to develop business insights and identify features to support direct marketing objectives
Identify and report issues and needs in modeling
Maintain and optimize the models
Create and organize the documentation of model build, validation, test, and performance monitoring
Serve as the subject matter expert on direct marketing and work closely with cross-functional teams
Work with other teams such as IT to define the requirements and procedures of model implementation
Mentor junior analysts
Other duties and projects as requested
ABOUT YOU:
REQUIRED: High School Diploma or equivalent
PREFERRED: Master’s Degree or higher in Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or other related quantitative fields required, Ph.D.
REQUIRED: Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience in direct marketing model development
PREFERRED: 4-7 years’ hands on experience in direct marketing model development
PREFERRED: Experience in auto or consumer finance
Proficient in statistical and machine learning techniques; understand their capabilities, assumptions, and limits
Highly proficient in SAS, R, or Python
Highly proficient in SQL
Highly proficient in MS-Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and making Excel Pivot tables
Proficient in coding quantitative models using real-life data and implementing the models
Ability to develop quantitative models under minimum supervision
Ability to prepare and analyze large complex datasets for model development
Strongly detail oriented
Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and meet tight deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts
Ability to effectively collaborate with other team members
