The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Consultant, Site Reliability Engineering-a senior individual contributor who acts as a technical leader, architect, and force multiplier within Pismo.
This role is designed for engineers who operate with high autonomy, thrive in ambiguity, and take end-to-end ownership of complex systems. As a Senior Consultant, you will define technical direction, set engineering standards, and influence how reliability engineering is practiced across teams and products. While this role remains hands-on, a significant portion of your impact will come from technical leadership, mentorship, and architectural decision-making.
You will work across squads and domains, often where problems are not clearly defined, and success requires judgment, influence, and deep technical expertise.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
8+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 11+ years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
Familiarity and experience with DevOps ways of working
Familiarity and experience building, managing, and operating CICD platforms
Familiarity and experience with GitOps technologies
Familiarity and experience with Azure cloud services
Experience leading teams of technical professionals
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this position is 152,200.00 to 243,700.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
