Summary

The Social Media Intern will assist Stifel’s corporate social media team with all projects related to the firm’s social media presence. Projects and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to assisting with the ideation of corporate posts, assisting Stifel associates with their social media presence, and general upkeep of databases related to social media monitoring.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist Stifel associates with questions related to social media via phone or e-mail inquiries.
• Learn the social media approval process for various sections of the firm and assist associates as they work through the approval process.
• Identify social media trends and best practices while finding opportunities for Stifel to incorporate them into the corporate social media strategy.
• Work with the social media team and do appropriate research to help create corporate posts.
• Work in conjunction with the other social media team members to maintain and clean up social media content libraries and databases.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in both written and verbal interactions.
• Experience with the major social media channels (including LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram).
• Adaptable, highly organized individual with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects of varying importance with varying deadlines.
• Good interpersonal skills and able to work well with others; strong team player as well as ability to work independently.

Education and/or Experience

• Pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related with at least 1 year of college completed.

Systems and Technology

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Experience with Hootsuite a plus, but not required.

Additional Information

• Stifel’s Headquarter Internship Program will be 10 weeks in person at our downtown St. Louis location.
  Program dates: May 28 to August 2, 2024
