THE INTERNSHIP DETAILS:

• THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN MINNEAPOLIS MINNESOTA
  • (potential for hybrid/remote TBD based on Covid19 protocols)
• HOURS ARE 8AM-5PM (CST) / 9AM-6PM (EST), MONDAY - FRIDAY, 40 HOURS A WEEK (1HR UNPAID LUNCH DAILY)
• THIS IS A PAID INTERNSHIP ($30 PER HOUR)

THE TEAM / THE INTERN EXPERIENCE:

As part of the API team, you'll contribute to the software design, development, and overall lifecycle of our API capabilities, upon which other DailyPay offerings are built or customers directly connect to. You'll work under the guidance of a more senior engineer, but alongside team members to deliver a high quality product, experimenting, learning, collaborating and adjusting as you go.

• BUILDING robust, secure, performant and intuitive API features and capabilities

• REFINING code, so it is optimized for scalability, maintainability, and availability

• COLLABORATING with the team and internal partners on refinement of stories and tasks

• PARTICIPATING in learning activities around modern software design and development core practices

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related
• In Fall 2022 you'll be entering your Junior or Senior year of your Bachelor's program
• Some background in an object-oriented programming language - we are a Ruby shop.
  • If you haven't used Ruby, be ready to learn on the job!
• A critical eye, a curious nature and a voracious appetite to learn
• An interest in design, crafting high quality developer experiences and readable code
• Interest in working as part of a collaborative, cross-functional, modern software design and development team
