  • Responsibilities

    ROLE:

    The Specialist of Talent Development is responsible for the design, development, and facilitation of targeted learning solutions and support of talent programs/course management, department budgeting, and department reporting.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manage communication and scheduling of department's programs, courses, and facilitators
    • Manage program and course marketing communications to leaders and HRBP's
    • Manage online courseware and learning management system
    • Analyze department data to identify trends and hidden needs and make recommendations to the management team on how to enhance the learner experience
    • Support department quarterly reporting for Board, SOC, Human Cap Risk Committee, and ad hoc talent reporting as needed
    • Assess learning needs with business leaders, human resource managers, and business unit learning & development partners
    • Write performance objectives and instructional design recommendations
    • Design virtual and classroom learning sessions, computer-based training, job aids, and performance support tools
    • Revise, update and maintain existing learning curriculums
    • Consult internal clients on professional development opportunities, course development & design and overall learning curriculum
    • Deliver management and leadership development content in a traditional classroom and virtual classroom sessions.
    • Lead facilitator prep (train-the-trainer) sessions for the new curriculum and customized learning sessions
    • Deliver customized learning sessions and Talent Development learning content as needed
  • Qualifications

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Human Resources, Management or Business is preferred
    • 2-year college degree or equivalent experience is required
    • 2-3 years of total experience
    • Proven track record in assessing, developing and delivering learning solutions
    • Must possess an understanding of Adult Learning Theory and how to practically apply instructional design concepts in the workplace
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities, enlist appropriate resources, ensure quality, professional work and maintain high standards; is detail-oriented
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of leadership
    • Strong facilitation skills in detailed explanation and interpretation of factual and conceptual information
    • Strong measurement and analysis skills to identify learning outcome trends and make recommendations on ways to enhance the learner experience
    • Expert use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Experience and proficiency in using online learning tools such as Visio, Captivate, Articulate, and WebEx.
    • Experience designing virtually facilitated learning solutions
    • Executes with a sense of urgency, focus on outcomes, and a high level of self-confidence
    • Ability to display professionalism across all settings and personnel
    • Experience with authoring, graphics, and interactive design tools such as Flash, XML, Audacity and/or Photoshop a plus.
    • Experience working within a financial services organization is a plus
    • Military education or experience may be considered in lieu of civilian requirements listed
