    Job Description

    We are looking for a Program Manager to join our packaging team. The focus of our team is to create world-class experiences for our customers. As a Packaging Program Manager on the Hardware team, you’ll support Cash Card and have ownership of both packaging requirements and the execution of packaging development plans. You’re a critical thinker who leverages your breadth of experience to solve problems. You’re also an exceptional communicator who can collaborate with a variety of teams, and run effective and productive meetings. This role is highly cross-functional, technical, and instrumental to shipping great products. ROLE LOCATION: 

    We want employees to be able to reside where they feel most creative and productive. You will be part of an org that works across Pacific Time, Eastern Time, and China Time. 

    In this role, your manager and direct team will be working in Pacific Time. We are open to all people who can be effective partners with this team, including sharing and adjusting to typical working hours.

    YOU WILL:

    • Manage our packaging development process and schedule for multiple projects. You will drive what matters, and never lose sight of the critical path.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture packaging requirements and strike the right balance for customer experience, design, manufacturing, quality, cost, and scheduling goals.

    • Track program risks and drive closure on engineering issues. You will also organize and host design maturity reviews and enforce project milestones. 

    • Lead the creative development of content, copy, and localization that meet global product, legal, and marketing strategies.

    • Act as the primary point of contact for overall development and advocate for the best solution. You will also attend weekly program and executive reviews to provide updates on the current development and implementation status.

    • Manage project timelines and balance resource allocation.

    • Travel domestic and internationally to support pre-production builds and strengthen partner relationships (when it is safe to do so)

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    YOU HAVE: 

    • Experience in packaging development and understand how design decisions translate to customer impact. 

    • 8 years of combined experience in project management and engineering delivering products comprised of multiple materials and high aesthetic quality

    • Experience with recycled and recyclable packaging materials, including paper substrates, corrugated and pulp trays.

    • Leading cross-functional teams from concept to commercialization; including stage gate presentations to senior leadership.

    • Understand technical issues and drive them to closure by bringing together key partners for decision-making

    • The ability to think proactively, communicate effectively, and influence others. 

    • Self-motivated and dedicated with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities

    • Flexibility to travel up to 20% of the year (when it is safe to do so)

    • Entrepreneurial. You develop and seek out creative and innovative ideas.

    • Bachelor or Masters degree in Engineering is preferred.

      • MBA and/or PMP certification preferred
