    Job Description

    The Account Management team works with the largest Square merchants to grow their business using Square’s powerful ecosystem of products. This team of account managers partners with product and marketing teams to deeply understand the needs of our merchants and then meet their needs and grow their business via Square solutions.

    We are looking to hire a Manager for our Core Accounts Account Management team with demonstrated success in Sales leadership. You will be responsible for supporting and continuing to build a high performing team that leads to success for our sellers and for Square. You will co-develop processes, tools, systems, and metrics that will ensure excellence in account management, at scale. You will also be responsible for managing high impact projects for the Account Management org. 

    YOU WILL:

    • Be responsible for planning, organizing, and leading a 40+ person revenue generating account management team. 

    • Developing high performing, empathetic and coaching focused front line managers

    • Work closely with senior members of the Account Management leadership and operational teams. 

    • Be a key driving force in continuing the account management team’s growth at Square, especially in the SMB and MidMarket segments 

    • Represent the needs and unique opportunities that exist within the STL team and act as the direct point of contact for Account Management amongst STL Square senior leadership and relevant stakeholders

    • Represent team progress, product insights, and seller learnings to key internal stakeholders across Square. 

    • Build on a culture of hard work, seller focus and professional integrity

    • Develop creative ways to motivate your team and the broader core accounts team to exceed targets (revenue outputs, inputs, customer satisfaction, and operational goals)

    • Engage with product teams to be the customer voice to drive both product attach and product improvements

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    YOU HAVE:

    • 6+ years of sales success, preferably in a high growth company

    • 4+ years of leadership experience, with preferred experience leading sales managers

    • BA/BS Degree 

    • (Preferred) Experience in high transaction volume SaaS application or financial services sales 

    • Proven ability to work with and influence cross-functional teams and departments in a rapidly growing environment

    • Proven ability to communicate (written and verbal) and manage relationships with senior executives 

    • Proven ability to hire and develop high performing sales teams 

    • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, organizational, and communication skills

    • Extensive experience in a metrics-driven sales organization
