Job Description
We're looking for an Analytics Manager to join a cross-functional leadership team that drives strategy and delivery for our core Payments and Business Banking products at Square. You will directly manage a team of 4-6 product analysts, help set direction for our Payment Products group, and work across teams to improve our analytics and data science practices throughout the company.
As Analytics Manager, you will guide your team of product analysts who collaborate with engineering, marketing, design, and product to answer challenging questions that improve our customer experience and Square’s growth. You will manage the career growth of your team, and promote a collaborative and inclusive culture.
YOU WILL:
Join a cross-functional leadership team, and lead the analytics practice for a product set used by millions of Square customers in multiple global markets
Foster a data-driven culture and influence partners throughout Square using data insights to guide product direction
Champion A/B testing and product experimentation
Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and leadership as your team works with team members across multiple disciplines; including product, engineering, marketing, and operations
Join a community of analytics leads, and help further the discipline at Square by establishing best practices and defining career paths
Report into the Director of Engineering for Square's Payment Products
Qualifications
YOU HAVE:
8+ years of experience in a data-focused role such as product analytics, business analytics, business operations, or data science
Experience with complex products serving millions of customers on multiple platforms and countries
2+ years leading an analytics team
A Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in a quantitative discipline such as Economics, Finance, or Physical Sciences, or equivalent work experience in an analytics role
Experience with data analysis and visualization tools, such as SQL, R, Tableau, or Looker
TECHNOLOGIES WE USE AND TEACH:
