    Job Description

    The Sales and Account Management team helps our merchants get the most out of Square through direct selling, business consultation, and product education. We educate and acquire new merchants to Square; retain and grow Square’s existing seller base, and provide insights to Square’s product teams. The Sales and Account Management Strategy & Analytics team uses data to guide the Sales and Account Management team’s program design and operations, goals, priorities, and investment decisions. We improve the efficiency and revenue impact of Square’s Go-To-Market functions.

    As a Business Analyst on the Account Management Strategy & Analytics team, you will use your skills to identify areas of opportunity, design scalable solutions, and implement new operational processes. You will develop important metrics and insights to track Account Management team performance and financial impact. You will build data visualizations to understand drivers of performance compared to revenue goals and to distill insights to our partners, identify efficiency opportunities, and make recommendations accordingly. You have a passion for diving into data, summarizing trends, and making an impact.

    You Will

    • Work with Account Management leadership to set performance targets and provide insight to drivers of pacing against goals.

    • Use data to lead analysis and actionable recommendations to shape program design, operations, and strategy.

    • Perform financial analysis to inform incremental investment decisions across potential and existing Account Management programs.

    • Build relationships across the F&S team and our cross-functional stakeholders. Develop metrics to track Account Management team performance and financial impact.

    • Directly influence elements of Square’s operational execution and financial forecasting.

    • Manage program-level metric development and dashboards.

    • Guide projects across Finance, Operations, Data Science, Customer Success, and more

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    You Have:

    • 5+ years of analytical or finance experience

    • A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or other relevant field

    • Proficiency with data, analytics, and visualization technologies (we use SQL and Looker)

    • Experience driving a complex project from start to finish

    • Creativity in developing new processes, analyses, and recommendations

    • Strong understanding of financial models and procedures

    Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

    Zone A: USD $138,200 - USD $169,000
    Zone B: USD $128,500 - USD $157,100
    Zone C: USD $121,700 - USD $148,700
    Zone D: USD $110,600 - USD $135,200
