    Square is looking for a passionate Digital Designer to join our creative marketing Hardware team.

    This is a hands-on creative role with tremendous opportunity to shape and develop the creative marketing for our lineup of hardware products. You will be part of a creative team that touches a variety of projects, including campaigns, digital ads, social media, web pages,  performance marketing, product tutorials, online and offline collateral and much more. Our team exists to tell great stories about our hardware products and ecosystem, so that our sellers can empower their businesses to excel and grow.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    You will: 

    • Concept and develop marketing materials such as web, paid, email, social, campaign landing pages, print and OOH 
    • Work with cross-functional partners in Marketing, Strategy, Product, Photo, Copy and Design Technology
    • Elevate and evolve the brand within overall Square guidelines
    • Assist in art direction of photo and video shoots
    • Create video and motion graphics style frames, exhibition graphics, interface design, presentation design, information graphics, branding and print graphics
    • Craft graphic elements, mood boards, and visual treatments
    • Present design concepts and ideas to internal and external stakeholders
    • Execute on creative briefs and ensure they are delivered on time and on strategy

    You have:

    • 5+ years of industry experience
    • Expert in Photoshop, Illustrator and Figma
    • Animation/motion graphics knowledge in software such as After Effects or Cinema 4D
    • Experience with multiple styles of design and illustration
    • Experience in photo/video art direction
    • Mastery and experimentation of design fundamentals (color, typography, composition, and layout)
    • Knowledge of best practices in usability and web design(responsive layouts and good user experience)
    • A natural storyteller
    • Experience leading projects through design process

    Even better: 

    • Desire to work in a start-up environment, where iteration and learning is encouraged
    • Interest in working with physical hardware 
    • Ability to use prototyping tools to create realistic prototypes of interactive designs
