    Job Description

    The Strategy & Analytics team within Sales & Account Management is building the data-driven programs and technology to increase team efficiency and improve the experience of businesses that use Square's ecosystem of products. We are a team of Analysts, Technical Program Managers, and Program Managers, who work with Sales and AM team members, as well as Automation, Marketing, and Customer Success to drive progress against our organizational and company-wide priorities.

    As a Business Analyst focusing on Sales, you will identify areas of opportunity to increase new seller acquisition, improve the efficiency and impact of the team, develop metrics and data visualizations to understand team performance, and contribute to our global growth strategy. We're looking for individuals who have experience with diving into data, summarizing trends, and making an impact.

    You Will:

    • Use data to lead analysis and actionable recommendations to shape program design, operations, and strategy
    • Partner with Sales leadership to set performance targets, define KPIs, create scalable reporting, and provide insight to drivers of pacing against goals
    • Collaborate with Marketing to drive top-of-funnel growth & conversion across markets
    • Evaluate the performance of new and existing lead generation channels and influence strategic seller acquisition initiatives
    • Drive ROI & capacity analysis to understand channel efficiency and inform resourcing and future investments across Sales programs
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    You Have:

    • 2-4 years of analytical experience in analytics, banking, business operations, consulting, or finance
    • Mastery with data, analytics, and visualization technologies - Snowflake SQL and Looker equivalents
    • Experience applying quantitative analysis and logical reasoning to influence outcomes
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build relationships and across the organization
    • Highly analytical, can find trends and summarize important insights from ambiguous data sets

    Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. Zone A: USD $114,200 - USD $139,600 Zone B: USD $106,200 - USD $129,800 Zone C: USD $97,100 - USD $118,700 Zone D: USD $85,700 - USD $104,700

    This role is also eligible to participate in Block's equity plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies, and may be eligible for a sign-on bonus.
