  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    The Orders team oversees the platform that powers all sales and order management at Square. We are also responsible for the order management, fulfillment, and checkout experiences on the mobile and web point of sale solutions. As a Technical Program Manager, you will guide the planning and delivery of our product portfolio from vision to launch. You will lead both consumer and business facing projects — promoting alignment, communication, and execution between partners such as engineering, product management, design, analytics, and product marketing.

    You will:

    • Oversee successful coordination of major product initiatives
    • Guide strategic planning by partnering with design, user research, product, analytics, and engineering to develop program plans, dependency identifications, and resourcing plans
    • Manage alignment meetings for project kick offs, weekly check-ins, and testing
    • Improve product delivery, execution, and processes
    • Establish and implement adoption of program frameworks, tools, and best practices
    • Lead post program analysis to guide future programs
    • Identify challenges and risks, working with a cross-functional team to address and mitigate them
    • Communicate plans, status, risks and mitigations to the broader team
    • Establish processes that are appropriate and scalable
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications You have:

    • 8+ years of program management experience in software/web development organizations
    • Direct experience managing cross-functional teams and projects
    • Solid cross-platform (web/mobile/server) technical experience
    • Experience working on products with developer facing interfaces (i.e. APIs and SDKs)
    • Experience creating and implementing process/operational improvements across diverse teams and disciplines
