On-device testing is a critical foundation of Square’s device software quality strategy. As we work to expand the scale of that, our test rack nodes have become products in themselves, with a product development lifecycle and their own supply chain. Square is looking for an organized and resourceful individual to assist the Tools and Services Hardware Engineering team manage the execution of this flow..
The Hardware team is a fast growing, results oriented team. The EPC (Engineering Project Coordinator) must be able to handle rapid changes, prioritize and track the details. An EPC must be a driven organizer, ready to work cross functionally with internal and external teams to manage the risks associated with development manufacturing builds.
You will:
Manage system level builds at local supplier
Assemble node hardware per SOP (Standard Operating Procedure), maintain nodes (swap components)
Assist in developing assembly instructions for local supplier
Manage PO’s and logistics, work with GSM/CM on vendor management and Square consigned material
Receive, distribute, ship and manage unit and materials inventory
Create build matrix to define and manage unique build configurations
Create, manage and process NPI Engineering Change Orders, Request and Deviations
Create Bill of Materials (BOMs), part numbers and archive related technical documentation per Square defined process for system, mechanical, board and FW/SW level BOMs
Work on multiple projects, simultaneously
Assist and collaborate with PLM Administrator on HW procedures
Qualifications
You have:
Working knowledge of command line tools, git, python wheels
Proficient with and has prior use of PLM systems (Agile, Arena, etc.)
Must have good BOM structuring and Configuration Management experience
Combination of organizational and detail-oriented skills when working on multiple projects
Excellent communication (written and verbal)
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Even Better:
Bachelors degree and/or 3+ years of industry experience
