Job Description
As the Creative Program Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic development and the daily tactical execution of a variety of creative workstreams. This is a role within Square’s Banking Design and Creative team and will help us develop the way we scale our team and operations globally. You will report to the Program Management lead and work with Marketing, Product, and Creative leads, across a variety of products, channels and markets.
The tactical aspect of this role requires meticulous attention to detail and problem solving skills that can be applied to any challenge, task or opportunity. You are proactive, hyper-organized and keep the team upbeat even in frustrating situations. It is your responsibility to ensure delivery of excellent work on time and on brief while helping the team meet expectations.
Success in this role means that your creative team will have the time and energy to focus and deliver excellence.
You Will:
Define strategic initiatives that improve the team’s processes, tools, infrastructure, and workflows
Identify potential issues and develop solutions, lead roadmap discussions, and help create the runway to scale to meet our partners’ needs
Manage multiple active and upcoming projects by defining scope, timelines, milestones, resource needs, budgets, and deliverables
Track progress, understand dependencies, and communicate status to project stakeholders
Partner with creative leadership, marketers, and project managers to resource initiatives properly, managing multiple project workflows
Be the point person to promote communication of creative project status – project status and progress, documenting action items, following up with owners on commitments, and ensuring expectations are clear
Cultivate, negotiate and manage relationships with team members in marketing, product, and engineering to ensure a smooth operational process and successful project delivery
Collaborate with external contributors and agencies
Qualifications
You Have:
4+ years experience as a project manager, program manager, or producer either in a design firm, ad agency, or a part of an in-house creative team.
Experience managing creative production (video, photography, asset development)
An ability to scope, budget, and project plan
Familiarity with managing and partnering with in-house creative studio teams (production design, design technology) and localization processes
Experience sourcing, onboarding and managing contract talent
Experience implementing and structuring new processes at scale within creative teams
An affinity for creating culture for product and design communities, and bringing people close together
Skills in industry standard project management software, workflows and tool sets

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. Zone A: USD $125,600 - USD $153,600 Zone B: USD $116,800 - USD $142,800 Zone C: USD $110,500 - USD $135,100 Zone D: USD $100,500 - USD $122,900
