    Job Description

    Square has an exciting career opportunity for a Global Contingent Worker Program (CWP) Manager based in San Francisco, or remotely, that will be responsible for scaling a global contingent workforce program. This is an opportunity for a highly motivated individual with a demonstrated background in contract labor/procurement/strategic sourcing capable of both hands-on individual contribution and thought leadership in a dynamic environment. The role will focus on driving adoption and efficiency of the CWP through process and system optimization and proactive stakeholder outreach.

    You will define best practices to optimize spend and build a scalable global program for Square’s contingent workforce. Prioritizing the user-experience as a key requirement, you will partner with Square stakeholders to create a program in line with key Square initiatives. This role will also be responsible for overseeing daily program activities, driving program initiatives, and will partner closely with the Managed Service Provider (MSP), F&S, Procurement, HR, and other internal teams. The successful candidate must have strong analytical and communication skills and a proven ability to build relationships with business stakeholders across the organization to ensure alignment of objectives and priorities. The position will report to the Global Procurement Lead.

     

    The primary responsibilities include:

    This role requires a continuous improvement philosophy, ongoing refinement of contract labor related policies/procedures, the development of educational roadmap of key business partners on best practices and market trends.

    • Build out a scalable global CWP to manage and track all contingent labor workers

    • In partnership with MSP, provide support for managers with respect to CW guidelines, policies, and procedures

    • Assess, manage, and drive vendor relationships to ensure level of service supports growing needs

    • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders when evaluating contingent workforce staffing strategies, processes, and policies 

    • Act as the key point of contact for the MSP with respect to issue resolution 

    • Work with stakeholders (MSP, HR, Procurement and IT) to ensure streamlined worker on-boarding and off-boarding

    • Work with MSP to establish supplier metrics and performance feedback to drive program improvement

    • Partner with MSP and internal teams on key initiatives that focus on consistency, transparency and support for the contractor population and hiring managers

    • Create and maintain process documentation, document and ensure processes are clearly communicated, and provide CWP training to partners across the organization as needed

    • Ensure service and satisfaction in all areas of position

    • Support other ad hoc projects as needed

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Demonstrated clear communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to communicate complicated details effectively with individuals at all levels within the organization

    • Minimum of 6 years of contingent workforce, vendor management, procurement or HR operations experience

    • Solid Excel and PowerPoint skills

    • Ability to maintain confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism

    • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

    • High attention to detail, ability to recognize and recommend improvement

    • Proactive and able to organize and prioritize with limited guidance and a focus on delivering exceptional customer service experiences

    • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience required

    • Vendor management experience across disciplines and geographic locations preferred

    • Ability to influence others, including senior leadership

    • Self-directed, able to work independently, as well as work in a team-orientated and fast paced environment

    • Superior interpersonal and presentation skills with proven track record of success
