    Job Description

    As a Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst supporting the Seller Experience - Automation organization, you will be responsible for the development of our internal metrics and the operationalization of these measurements.

    These business critical datasets, metrics and dashboards will be used directly by the leadership team to help drive the direction of the Seller Experience - Automation organization and ultimately directly contribute to Square’s growth.

    We want employees to be able to reside where they feel most creative and productive. You will be part of an org that works across pacific, central, and eastern time zone(s).  In this role, you and your direct team will be primarily organized and operating within the pacific standard time zone. This role is open to all people who can be effective partners with this team, including sharing typical working hours.

    YOU WILL:

    • Work with a diverse set of teams and leaders to ideate performance metrics while making appropriate trade offs between measurability, intuitiveness, and actionability

    • Influence engineering roadmap to instrument data that feeds organizational metrics

    • Own, operationalize, and automate the process of the metric collection and reporting via Looker dashboards, ETLs, and more

    • Work with organizational leadership to relate metrics to performance and broader goals

    • Facilitate analysis of organizational performance and uncover high level areas of opportunity

    • Operate as a member of the Measurement Analytics team and contribute to team goals and responsibilities

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    YOU HAVE:

    • 5+ years of experience in quantitative analytics, business intelligence, and analytical consulting

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical data to a variety of executives and stakeholders across the company

    • Fluency of data analytics with the ability to independently contribute to technical output 

    • Familiarity with data warehouse design, development and best practices

    • Strong technical skill in SQL, data engineering, and data analysis

    • Strong experience with data visualization in Looker, Tableau, or equivalent business intelligence tool

    • Experience working to define, develop and implement KPIs and other business critical metrics
