    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Oversees and mentors a team of Software Engineering colleagues, enabling a culture of continuous learning, growth opportunities, and inclusivity for all individual colleagues and teams. Provides direct leadership and coaching to teams, supporting training and development of best practices
    • Manages resource allocation, project timeline, and budget for Software Engineering projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
    • Collaborates with senior leadership to hire top talent for the team, ensuring a high-functioning and cohesive unit, implementing strategies for talent retention and professional development
    • Leads the development, deployment, support, and monitoring of software across various environments
    • Collaborates with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to define and implement technology roadmaps and strategies
    • Leads teams to innovate and automate processes, driving efficiency and scalability in production environments
    • Drives continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging metrics and feedback to enhance team performance and software quality
    • Collaborates and co-creates effectively with teams in product and the business to align technology initiatives with business objectives

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and/or comparable experience; advanced degree preferred
    • Knowledge of distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, NoSQL, and relational databases
    • Knowledge of the core tools used in the planning, analyzing, crafting, building, testing, configuring, and maintaining of assigned application(s)
    • Software engineering and development experience or a related job
    • Experience in leading and managing software engineering teams, providing technical leadership and mentorship
    • Experience in collaborating with senior stakeholders to drive software strategy and innovation
    • Expertise in application design, software development, and automated testing
    • Experience in distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases
    • Experience in Agile software development methodologies and practices such as Scrum/Kanban, iterations, user stories
    • Experience in automation testing and documentation (i.e. automated, functional, and performance)
