Staff Accountant
American Freedom Insurance Company (AFIC) is a leader in the nonstandard automobile insurance industry. Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree with Accounting concentration is a plus
- Accounting experience including Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Proficiency in Excel, preferably with knowledge of V-Look Ups, Pivot Tables
- Collections experience is a plus
- Attention to detail and accuracy is a must
- Analytical aptitude
- Fast Learner
- Ability to manage time and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills to interact with management, coworkers, vendors and agents
- Responsible and conscientious nature
- Team player with ability to work independently
Responsibilities:
- Data Entry into QuickBooks and into Policy software
- Process daily cash receipts
- Enter invoices and review aging summaries for outstanding balances
- Utilize accounting software to prepare checks and analyze vendor accounts
- Prepare monthly client statements
- Collection of client receivables
- Respond to client inquiries in a prompt and professional manner
- Process outgoing accounting mail and other documents
- Assist with various account reconciliations
- Represent company professionally
- Projects as assigned
The Position:
- Full Time 40 Hour Work Week: 8am-5pm CST Monday-Friday in office
