Job Description
This individual will provide uncompromising service by building enduring relationships, communicating, referring and selling products to meet members’ needs both with members and internally. You will participate in the acquisition, retention and expansion of members and prospective members through a variety of sales and service activities through our electronic delivery channels.

This position cross-sells traditional and nontraditional products and services while maintaining existing member relationships and developing new member relationships. You will accurately process various types of transactions for members and departments.
Operational Oversight • Adheres to the Credit Union’s core values • Provide support to Relationship Managers to help ensure the highest level of member experience. • Demonstrates teamwork in all interactions with co-workers and in the completion of duties and responsibilities. • Responsible for ensuring that all Credit Union policies and procedures are performed consistently. • Recommends improvements in processes, services, and policies to improve our members’ experiences and streamline work. • Ensures member communications are professional and accurate. • Takes personal initiative and is a positive example for others. • Demonstrates exceptional teamwork and mentors new employees. • Responsible for assisting the manager with the administration of all member service duties, including keeping apprised of new procedures, products and policies. • Supports the administration of operations upon the absence of a manager being physically onsite. • Performs work as requested. • Member Advisors also have additional responsibilities of understanding all aspects of operations for SFCU electronic delivery channels. Risk and Security Management • Ensures safekeeping and confidentiality of all member documents. • Is responsible for the contents, maintenance of and training associated with SFCU’s operations policy and procedures. • Responsible for representing assigned responding to and correcting findings in audits or exams • Point person for member/deposit account oriented litigation. • Inspects facilities on a regular basis for security, safety and professional appearance.
Proactively learns about current or potential goals of members and offers appropriate financial solutions. Proactively follows-up with new and existing members by phone and email to ensure a positive experience. OnBoards new Members in addition to researching and proactively contacting existing members to retain and expand relationships with appropriate financial solutions. Opens and processes deposit accounts including Trusts, Business Memberships and IRAs which require additional knowledge and processing. Works with real estate lending team and the wealth management team to make referrals that meet member needs. Resolve issues that may arise and anticipate the member’s needs and make the appropriate recommendations to help members avoid future issues. Answers questions and/or resolves complex problems on member accounts using all channels. This requires the ability to troubleshoot with the member online banking, mobile banking, bill payment services, and other methods of accessing credit union information. Recommends and processes applications for all consumer loan types. Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
EXPERIENCE
3 to 5 years experience in customer service and sales related field.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
A high school degree or equivalent
