The Portfolio Management Associate role is responsible for increasing founder success of the Atlanta startup portfolio in collaboration with VPs, Directors, and Managing Directors.
- Facilitate new founder onboarding journey though client outreach, client onboarding, portfolio management, credit/regulatory tracking and identifying cross-sell opportunities.
- Educate prospective startup clients around SVB platform and own the startup client experience.
- Collaborate with internal teams (SVB Capital, SVB Private Bank, SVB Venture Capital Relationship Team, etc.) to leverage SVB’s products and resources in support of our founders.
- Support Atlanta founder portfolio as a franchise by tracking and analyzing key metrics for stage and industry trends.
- Monitor and track portfolio health related to compliance and credit risk and take ownership over increasing founder success (NPS).
- Collaborate with VPs on new business development opportunities, startup programming, community events, and strategic initiatives. A successful candidate will engage in staying up to date on technology and startup trends, having familiarity with platforms like Pitchbook, Crunchbase and other resources.
- Build and develop strong relationships within the early-stage startup ecosystem, including founders, accelerators, incubators, universities, tech labs and industry groups, along with seed and early-stage VC investors.
- Analyze and manage internal and external data sources to identify top clients and prospects in the technology community of greater Atlanta region, determine potential cross-sell opportunities, predict fundraising needs, and extract industry trends.
- Develop thought leadership as a trusted source for topics related to early-stage startups and the Atlanta Technology ecosystem (participate in panels, startup community engagement etc.).
- While working with the top startups in Atlanta region, you will gain a deep understanding of SVB’s platform, products & services, while also developing your own personal thesis on the ecosystem and unique ways to support growing founders in an entrepreneurial environment.
