Business Intelligence Reporting Analyst, Officer State Street 1,811 reviews - Boston, MA The mission of the Global Reporting Team within Finance & Risk Infrastructure & Business Solutions (FRIBS) is to support the strategic objectives of Finance, Treasury, Credit Risk, and Global Markets by enabling innovative data analytics and reporting solutions. The Global Reporting team, in support of a data-driven culture across the organization, is tasked with developing methods and controls to ensure the consistent application and use of data empowering our business partners by publishing controlled and consumable data via Spotfire, Cognos, and TIBCO Data Virtualization (TDV) . Providing expertise in the areas of Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse tools and utilization, best practices, and business process management, the Global Reporting team will lead the development, design and execution of reporting and analytical solutions defining goals and objectives, meeting key project deadlines, and ensuring results are aligned with the overall business strategy. Working closely with business partners, the Global Reporting team will bridge the gap between technology and analytics by establishing and driving a long-term BI strategy and roadmap, managing an increasing demand for advanced analytics, and delivering interactive, robust data solutions through a self-service model. The ideal candidate will contribute to the execution of the Finance & Risk Infrastructure & Business Solutions (FRIBS) roadmap working directly with our business partners to understand their current data challenges, eliciting their requirements to define, scope, and deliver solutions that meet their business intelligence needs. Responsibilities: * Design and build queries, reports, and dashboards using business intelligence tools adhering to established frameworks and standards * Actively participate in and influence discussions around reporting requirements, infrastructure needs, and design * Interface directly with clients and project team members to understand the needs and objectives of the business * Consistently deliver high-quality business intelligence solutions and services to clients on schedule * Bring structure to ambiguous business problems and recommend visualization solutions that can be easily interpreted by users * Serve as end user support for the organizational user base * Follow, maintain and improve all documentation and procedures for report design and production * Sponsor teamwork and encourage collaboration * Influence business process improvements by integrating data/tools with people/purpose and FRIBS vision Qualifications: * 1+ years of experience as a business/reporting analyst, in a dynamic business environment, with demonstrated reporting, analytical, and database experience; BS/BA required * Self-motivated, well-rounded, analytical self-starter with ability to work in a dynamic, collaborative, Agile team environment with aggressive deadlines, regular releases and multiple priorities * Sound understanding of BI best practices/ methodologies; experience with relational structures, structured query language (SQL), data warehouse and reporting techniques * Experience with business intelligence tools and data visualization concepts (i.e. Cognos, Spotfire, Tableau, QlikView or similar) * Strong analytic skills with the ability to gather, synthesize, and organize data to solve complex problems * Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills * Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with business and systems personnel * Familiarity with Treasury products and balance sheet concepts 4 hours ago - save job - original job Apply On Company Site Other jobs you may like Competitive Intelligence Analyst/Senior Analy...
