    ENTERPRISE FINANCE drives financial management for the company and maintains and enhances risk and financial controls. Key functions within Enterprise Finance include finance and accounting; Treasury; corporate development, mergers, and acquisitions; Data Management and Insights, the Customer Remediation Center of Excellence, Enterprise Shared Services, Business Process Management, and Corporate Strategy. Enterprise Finance informs shareholders, regulators, taxing authorities, team members, and leaders of the company’s financial performance through earnings releases, investor meetings and conferences, and meetings with regulators and credit rating agencies, following appropriate reporting guidelines. They also maintain and enhance risk and financial controls and lead many of the company’s shared services functions including corporate properties, security, and global services.

    THE ROLE The Corporate Strategy team provides strategic advice, subject matter expertise, innovative solutions, and effective tools to Wells Fargo businesses. Corporate Strategy Analysts will be expected to:

    • Conduct competitive assessments, consumer research, financial analysis, and industry research as an input to understanding Wells Fargo’s relative market position, and to determine future strategy
    • Support the evaluation of strategic options and development of recommendations for enterprise-wide projects (e.g., strategic plan) or line of business specific projects (e.g., growing product revenue)
    • Help develop documents and presentations for senior management, Board of Directors, and regulators, by gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing disparate data from business partners and external sources
    • Assist with design and delivery of complex, enterprise-wide projects by partnering with cross-functional stakeholders and team members and leveraging firm-wide resources

    Joining the Corporate Strategy team will give you the chance to gain insight into the strategic issues, which are forefront in the minds of senior management and the Board of Directors, and create relationships with people across the entire organization. Examples of projects completed by the team include the annual Wells Fargo strategic plan, an enterprise-wide consumer strategy, market entry and build versus buy assessments, and playbooks for enterprise-wide events (e.g., Recovery and Resolution Governance Mechanisms).

  • Qualifications

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • 2+ years of strategic planning experience; or a Master's degree or higher in fields such as business, finance, or economics
    • 1+ year of experience utilizing analytical capabilities in one or a combination of the following: assessing disparate financial data, market research reports, product development, or forecasting

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Management consulting experience at a top-tier consulting firm
    • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
    • Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management
    • Strong collaboration and partnering skills
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills
    • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
    • Strong analytical skills with ability to draw conclusions and translate findings

    JOB EXPECTATIONS
