    Job Description

    Role Summary:

    As a Summit Business Systems Analyst, you will play a critical role as we expand and optimize our applications portfolio. You will work with relevant associates to define problems, document business processes, and scope project requirements. You will collaborate with Summit’s technical resources to develop and deliver innovative business solutions. You will assist in troubleshooting, testing and supporting of Summit’s application portfolio. You will work to enhance the alignment between business process and Information Technology through your ability to understand of Summit’s business requirements and our technology solutions.

    Essential Roles & Responsibilities:

    • Resolve day-to-day technology needs of the business with a focus on the analysis of process problems and the suggestion solutions
    • Responsible for review, analysis, documentation, and communication of business needs
    • Propose solutions meet business requirements
    • Identify processes for improvement by analyzing processes, documenting gaps between current and desired state; recommendation on new solutions
    • Collaborate with internal customers, functional and development team members, as well as other stakeholders to identify user requirements, assess available technologies, and recommend solution options; advise on options, risks, costs versus benefits, and impact
    • Troubleshoot and diagnosis as problems arise to help identify and correct root cause issues
    • Exhibit solid understanding and working technical knowledge of applications within Summit’s portfolio
    • Promote good business relationships; prioritize work, and coordinate activities with internal customers and IT colleagues to ensure successful project implementation and meet expected service levels
    • Maintain and document knowledge of business-specific technology implementations
    • Test system changes related to assigned business processes to ensure the changes adequately satisfy business requirements with no negative impact.

    Essential Skills & Experience

    **Education & Certifications: **

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, Business or similar is preferred.
    • At least 3-5 years of experience in SAP.

    Software & Hardware Proficiency:

    • SAP ERP experience is required.
    • Strong knowledge and experience in SAP Order to cash process and Pricing module.
    • Vistex chargebacks and commissions knowledge is a plus.
    • Knowledge of EDI is a plus.
    • Understanding of SAP ABAP programming is preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite is a plus.
    • Working knowledge of any other applications within Summit’s portfolio is a plus.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 5 years of business experience is required
    • Distribution or wholesale experience is preferred
    • Experience translating business requirements into creative technical solutions
    • Analytical, proactive problem solving, and conceptual skills
    • Ability to perform some of the duties of their peer technical analyst in their absence
    • Able to quickly move from problem identification to root cause analysis and solution identification
    • Must be action-oriented and process improvement focused
    • Attention to detail and quality focused
    • Strong verbal and written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
    • Entrepreneurial and team-oriented spirit

    Location: On-site at Summit’s offices in Albuquerque, New Mexico
