    Intern, Outreach and Inclusion * Jobs * Login * Outreach and Inclusion * Los Angeles, CA, USA * 13.25 * Day * Internship Employment Dates: 10/01/2018 - 04/19/2019 Considerations: Must be able to commit to 20 hours per week. Will be lodged in Park City during the January Film Festival. Learning Opportunities: Learn about Sundance artist support programs, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and artist amp; community outreach, including how to conduct a successful outreach program, how to ensure diverse populations are reached, how to evaluate research and how to collect valid data, and hone creative development skills across various platforms including feature films, documentaries, episodic, and immersive media. Essential Job Functions and Duties: * Conduct research and collect data on artist submissions, trade articles, best organizations, executives, and special projects as assigned, particularly in preparing for the Sundance Film Festival on Outreach amp; Inclusion related programs. * Read submitted scripts and treatments to evaluate and provide feedback to Director. * Provide departmental support on event planning for the January Film Festival. * Assist with departmental administrative tasks as requested. Including but not limited to department correspondence, filing, making contributions to the inclusion newsletter, taking meeting notes and minutes, assisting in the creation of department documents, data entry, preparing program materials, maintaining department calendars, scheduling related events, maintaining accurate information in department database. * Assist in the execution of department events, including various fellowship and orientation-related logistics, supporting regional programs outreach, and Sundance Film Festival event logistics, including maintaining and editing event invitation lists and tracking rsvp's. * Assist in lab book and program material creation, includes collecting, updating, and tracking information including schedules, bios and photos. * Participate in institute meetings and brainstorms regarding Outreach amp; Inclusion Initiatives. * Assist with the artist tracking project. Includes collecting data, and data correction. * Other duties as assigned. Position Requirements: * Legal authorization to work in the United States. * Good communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal). * Must be proactive and detail oriented. * Knowledge of digital landscape and challenges facing diverse artists preferred. Preferred Education, Experience and Skills: * Degree or working towards a degree in film. * Experience working with databases. * Research and data collection experience. * Experience and interest in working directly with diverse communities.
