The experience we would expect the ideal person to deliver is: This internship position will expand upon SunPowers modeling capabilities for long-term upstream and downstream residential solar+storage planning purposes. The intern will utilize Genabilitys rate tariff APIs to create custom rate tariffs for utilities in the U.S. The custom rate tariff APIs will then be utilized to conduct modeling for residential solar and solar+storage customer savings under different net energy metering and rate design scenarios via an internal Python-based analytical tool. If time allows, the intern may be asked to develop a UI, expand upon the capabilties of the internal Python-based analytical tool and/or compare SunPower's internal scenario modeling capabilities with third-party scenario modeling products. The intern will report to SunPower's lead for global market strategy, but will need to work collaboratively with other interns, SunPower's corporate strategy, digital, residential products teams, and Total's smart energy team.
