Symetra currently has an exciting opportunity to join the Internal Sales Desk as a Sales Support Specialist. This role is uniquely positioned to provide the privilege of working with all of Symetra's product lines and departments. This position is responsible for supporting the sales activities of our internal and external wholesaler sales force in the Bank and BD Channel. * Respond to inbound calls, faxes, and emails from our Advisors * Partner with Internal and External Wholesaler teams * Assist with product inquiries, product illustrations, updates on pending applications, and fulfilling orders for marketing material and sales literature * Launching new products, identifying new sales opportunities, and making outbound service calls * Handle New Business and Underwriting inquiries * Problem solve and research issues on behalf of Distributors * Place outbound calls to Distributors * Navigate various web sites for internal resources * Ability to assist Advisors in navigating our online tools * Recognize and forward sales leads to Internal Wholesalers as appropriate * In addition, as a Sales Support Specialist you will correspond with advisors and wholesalers regarding Symetra's exceptional products. Additional responsibilities will include: * Partnering with internal and external wholesalers to drive territory sales * Assist with product inquiries, product illustrations, updates on pending applications, and fulfilling orders for marketing material and sales literature * Launch new products, identifying new sales opportunities, and making outbound service calls * Problem solve and research issues on behalf of distributors * Assist advisors with navigating our online tools * Utilize our CRM system to increase sales opportunities * Respond to inbound calls and emails from advisors Job Requirements Required/Preferred QualificationsEducation Required: * Bachelors degree strongly preferred * Series 6 and 63 licenses (upon hire or obtained within 60 days of notice) * Life and Disability license required within the first 4 months of employment Minimum Years of Related Work Experience Required: * Relevant customer service experience, with an aptitude for sales * Desire to progress into a more advanced sales role * Previous sales experience a plusSpecific Licensing, Designation and/or Training Required:FINRA Series 6, 63 and life and health required Skills and Abilities Required: * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Strong technical/computer skills * Demonstrated success in a team environment * Detail oriented, self-motivated, and ability to multitask and problem-solve * Comfortable making outbound calls as well as receiving inbound calls Learn more at www.symetra.com/careers.
