POSITION SUMMARY:
TIAAs Corporate Controllership is looking for a Regulatory Reporting Analyst I for the Regulatory Reporting team. The Regulatory Reporting team is responsible for regulatory and analytical reporting for the Companys general and separate accounts. This role is responsible for assisting with the monthly general ledger close process and preparation of quarterly and annual regulatory reporting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
* Assist with the preparation of the quarterly and annual Statutory financial statements for TIAA and TC Life * Participate in the setup and maintenance of various monthly, quarterly, and annual close schedules. Become proficient in the use of the Unity close software to monitor journal entries. * Work with Eagle Wings Statutory Financial Statement software. Complete data entry for the various statement pages including write-ins, insets and footnotes. * Reconcile monthly financial statements and miscellaneous PeopleSoft nVision reports. * Utilize Microsoft Excel to assist in the reconciliation of reports. * Identify issues to be researched and resolved. * Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations. * Comply with and maintain evidence for all control procedures. * Assist with special projects as needed. * Provide support in implementing changes to improve processes and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
**** * BA/BS degree * 0-3 years classroom or practical experience with Financial Reporting, General Ledger and Journal Entries
Desired
* BA/BS degree major in Accounting or Finance preferred Master's degree in Accounting * Recent College Grads welcome * Preferred Experience 1-3 years with financial reporting, journal entries, account reconciliations, PeopleSoft general ledger, Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook, Hyperion Essbase.
