POSITION SUMMARY: Summer Interns will work on an exciting mix of strategically-aligned challenging assignments and projects that help drive the achievement of the organization's strategy and mission. Managers and colleagues will work side by side with summer interns to ensure development and learning. Candidates can expect to gain an understanding of TIAA and the Financial Services industry, as well as have opportunities to explore various Marketing disciplines. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: The TIAA Marketing Internship will support projects underway to assess and improve the overall consumer marketing experience, including their digital experience. Interns will have the opportunity to utilize their classroom learning in the workplace, as well as various opportunities to learn new skills. Interns will be assigned developmental roles in an area of Marketing, such as Communications, Social Media, Advertising, Product Management & Innovation, Digital Analytics and Corporate Social Responsibility depending on business need and in alignment with the candidates skills. Intern would be required to assist in data collection and analysis; help develop client journeys to determine current client experience; inventory marketing and communication material to determine opportunities for improvement; help map Marketing processes and identify steps for improvement; prepare draft presentations for leadership. QUALIFICATIONS: Required Skills: Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree with a major/concentration in Advertising, Marketing Management, Digital Marketing, Marketing Analytics, Content Marketing, or another marketing-specific area of focus. Graduation date must be between December 2019 to May 2020 Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 or better Must have experience with MS Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) Desired Skills: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills and high emotional intelligence Well organized, detail-oriented, and able to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion Solid presentation and communication skills Strong ability to work in teams and build good relationships high degree of personal integrity and work ethics Effective project management and time management skills Ability to prioritize, multi-task and maintain attention to detail Equal Employment Opportunity is not just the law, its our commitment.
