We are seeking a part-time Member Service Representative to join our call center, approximately 25 hours/week. Our Representatives serve our members and potential members by answering account and service-related questions over the phone. Since member resolution and satisfaction is the primary goal, this position requires a great deal of tact and personal initiative. Hours include rotating evenings and every Saturday.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answers members’ phone inquiries regarding services and their personal accounts, finds solutions for problems or errors, and corrects them.
- Performs transactions for the members per telephone requests.
- Educates members as to the use of available automated systems in order to reduce the number of calls and sets them up for these services.
- Sets up and maintains files on various third party systems.
- Cross-sells other credit union services to the members.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
Required Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Candidates are required to have two years of prior customer service experience, including six months at a call center or six months in the financial services industry.
- Experience with or ability to gain proficiency in all programs and systems used for this job.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, problem solving skills, organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish speaking) candidates preferred.
