DESCRIPTION

CME Group is currently looking for a Technical Accounting summer intern in the Accounting department.

This candidate will assist the Accounting Department on day-to-day activities in support of technical accounting inquiries and the evaluation of non-routine accounting transactions and other ad-hoc projects.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Meeting with supervisor in order to discuss accounting transactions and collaborate on the accounting considerations to be evaluated

• Using our accounting software database to research accounting guidance

• Preparing accounting memos to document the results of accounting research performed

• Calculating the financial statement impact of accounting conclusions using Microsoft excel

Skills / Software Requirements:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Education:

• Currently pursuing a BA/BS in Accounting

• Minimum GPA of 3.5

• Able to work out of Chicago office on Hybrid schedule for the summer
