Software Engineering Intern Marina del Rey, California The Software Engineering Intern will be part of the Engineering team and will be responsible for taking a project through the software development lifecycle, analyzing product requirements and designing and delivering technical systems for the benefit of our customers. The Software Engineering Intern will be fully integrated into that process and will assist in designing and developing a piece of our production system, backed by the support of experienced mentors. Essential Functions - Design, code, test and document fullstack web application components - Debug systems and troubleshoot issues of moderate scope - Assist in gathering requirements and estimating delivery schedules - Provide frequent communication with team members and project manager - Participate in code reviews, both of self and team members Essential Requirements - Undergraduate with second or third year completed at an accredited four-year university - Strong desire to work on developing user-facing applications - Experience programming in the Python programming language - Basic understanding of object-oriented methodologies - Can-do self-starter attitude, with a team-oriented mindset - Empathy for customers and their experience - Passion for application security and user protection - Strong organizational skills and a desire to document research Preferred Qualifications - Experience with JavaScript and/or Angular - Familiarity with SQL, such as MySQL or MSSQL - Familiarity with HTML and CSS - Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM TeleSign is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
