    Consumer Loan Processor I Richardson, TX, USA Lending Texans Credit Union has a great entry-level opportunity, CONSUMER LOANPROCESSOR,for candidates interested in expanding their knowledge of lending and financial institutions! We are one of the largest credit unions in North Texas, operating 13 branches and serving a large customer (member) base of more than 130,000. This position will work at our Headquarters in Richardson. Our Consumer Loan Processor is responsible for processing auto, personal and other loan applications, ensuring the quality of loan documents and working closely with our branches, underwriters, and third party vendors. This role prepares all appropriate documents needed for each loan, ensuring that all underwriting conditions are met. Funding loans in a timely manner and reviewing documentation for accuracy are critical job functions. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: bull; Manages multiple loans coming in from our branch amp; e-branch networks and works as a team to process and prepare documents for all loans requests bull; Serves as the subject-matter-expert for Consumer Lending and loan documentation, answering general loan questions from internal staff bull; Facilitates all post-closing activities on loans to ensure all documents were executed properly by the branch amp; e-branch network, and all closing conditions were met bull; Conducts follow up contact with branches amp; e-branch in regards to their pending loan applications bull; Arranges the loan documents in order, reviews to make sure all of the documents have been returned and signed properly bull; Answers all questions regarding Credit Union loan products and services bull; Interfaces with e-branch, branches, underwriters, processors and other departments to ensure complete member satisfaction bull; Manages voice mail and e-mail messages TECHNICAL FUNCTIONS: bull; Proven ability to coordinate multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines bull; Excellent organizational skills, follow-up skills, and time management skills bull; Attention to detail with good verbal and written communication skills bull; Ability to work as part of a team bull; Demonstrate a sense of urgency bull; Exhibit and maintain high performance levels in a fast paced environment and/or stressful situations TEAMING FUNCTIONS: bull; Attend and participate in team/department meetings bull; Provide support to other lending functions as needed, such as Indirect/dealer processing. bull; Serve as a real-time support system to branches amp; e-branch during loan closings to ensure member satisfaction JOB REQUIREMENTS:Specific knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position: bull; Working knowledge of a variety of financial products and services bull; Excellent member service bull; Exceptional interpersonal and oral communication skills with ability to deal tactfully and courteously with members and co-workers bull; Basic computer and typing skills bull; Good time management and multi-tasking skills bull; Ability to learn/apply new skills and software applications bull; Adaptable to change and comply with all compliance requests bull; Ability to work Saturdays EDUCATION: High School Graduate, college degree would be a plus. EXPERIENCE:Minimum of one year or more of similar or related experience, with credit union/banking experience, auto, consumer and personal lending experience preferred. Experience with Velocity would be a plus PLEASE NOTE: Candidates must be able to successfully complete a credit check, background check and drug screen.
