The Financial Services Representative on our Member Connect Team serves as a phone liaison with our members by being the main point of contact throughout their entire loan process. In working towards their monthly sales goals, our FSR’s are confident in interviewing members to discover their unmet needs and are excited to offer products and services that fulfill them and deepen the relationship. This position would work at our Headquarters in Richardson, Texas.

    The Financial Services Representative interviews the member to discover unmet needs, and opens the appropriate accounts as well as professionally handles the member’s ongoing requests. The FSR also provides a variety of transaction services to members including loan processing, closing and disbursal to achieve goals around member satisfaction and revenue generation, and long-term account goals that support Texans’ strategic initiatives.

    JOB EXPECTATIONS:

    • Thoroughly interview applicants to understand their full financial picture and submits routine and complex loan applications in accordance with established credit union lending policies and procedures.
    • Understand credit bureau reports, identify additional lending opportunities, educate member on best practices to improve credit score, while meeting or exceeding all lending goals.
    • Possess a high-level understanding of lending practices, lending tools and ancillary products.
    • Identify cross-sell opportunities and sell appropriate ancillary products (GAP, MMP, Credit Life, Credit Disability) while meeting goal expectations.
    • Explain loan procedures, obtain necessary documentation, complete applications and route to the underwriting team.
    • Ensure loan files are complete and accurate with appropriate and thorough comments, along with recommendations to aid in loan decision.
    • Provide timely closing of loans by responding quickly to loan decisions and underwriting requests.
    • Maintain loan Pipeline to service level requirements by executing consistent follow up and proactive communication.
    • Proactively participate in all outbound calling campaigns, contests, and meetings to generate business.
    • Accurately track all referrals/sales. Exceed established sales goals as assigned.
    • Maintain in-depth knowledge of and comply with all department and security policies, procedures and federal regulations; including BSA requirements.
    • Provide excellent customer service by responding to members’ requests, resolving issues, and/or directing them to the appropriate department to ensure customer satisfaction.

    EDUCATION:

    High school diploma or equivalent.

    College degree and professional certification would be a plus.

    EXPERIENCE:

    Minimum 1 year in a Call Center environment

    2-3 years experience in a sales and service environment, preferably in a financial institution

    Minimum 6 months in a goal-oriented sales environment

    Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are preferred.
